The Canibal Dandies play some old time jazz and blues, but are also concerned by the way this music is kept alive nowadays in New Orleans. They've been mixing the legacy that people like Louis Armstrong, George Lewis or Willie Dixon left, to a more modern kind of groove, being inspired by bands they met in New Orleans.
